N. Korea leader reported to have killed his late uncle’s entire family

North Korea’s leader Kim Jong-un, may have killed his late uncle’s entire family, including children, if reports from South Korea is to be believed. South Korea’s state news agency, Yonhap, reports that Kim not only executed his uncle, but also his entire family, including his children and relatives serving as ambassadors to Cuba and Malaysia.
“Extensive executions have been carried out for relatives of Jang Song-thaek. All relatives of Jang have been put to death, including even children.” Yonhap wrote in a report published today January 26th. Continue…
The executed relatives reportedly includes Jang’s sister Kye-sun, her husband and ambassador to Cuba, Jon Yong-jin, the ambassador to Malaysia, Jang Yong-chol, who is Jang’s nephew, as well as his two sons.

Yonhap reports that the two ambassadors were recalled to North Korea in early December and have not been seen since then. The sons, daughters and grandchildren of Jang’s two brothers were all also reportedly executed. According to Yonhap, some of Jang’s relatives were dragged out of their houses and shot in front of a crowd. But no other news agency has confirmed that this really happened.

Anti-gay law: Canadian Govt cancels President Jonathan’s state visit

A state visit being planned by Nigerian President Goodluck Jonathan to Canada for February has been canceled by the Canadian Government.  
The cancellation happened in the same week it was revealed the President secretly signed a controversial law banning gays, lesbians, and sexual minorities in Nigeria.
Sources in Abuja told Saharareporters that the Nigerian Ambassador to Canada, Ojo Madueke, was told to inform President Jonathan that the state visit to Canada scheduled for February 13 and 14th 2014 has now been canceled.

Pastor Tunde Bakare reportedly rejects cow from the Presidency

According to reports, Latter Rain Assembly founder, Pastor Tunde Bakare got a cow and hampers from the presidency as a Christmas gift. Pastor Bakare said the cow and hampers were dropped at his Save Nigerian Group (SNG) office in Lagos, but he rejected the gift because ‘a cow is not what president Jonathan should be giving to people now but a country that works’.

Succour for air travellers as air passenger’s rights bill passes second reading

The Air Passenger Rights Bill is presently on the floor of the House and it has passed second reading. If things go according to plan, then many Nigerians who constantly travel by air will soon heave a sigh of relief. All the agonizing stories of baggage loss or damage without proper compensation,flight cancellation with no prior notice, frequent delays, over booking etc all these will soon come to an end
